Manatee church to close after foreclosure

Community Bank has won a $817,246 foreclosure judgment against Faith Christian Church of Manatee County Inc., a religious organization headed by Samuel Jameson, Michael McBride and Daniel Joe Smith.

The organization borrowed $975,000 from Community Bank in June 2004 and $235,000 from Whitney Bank in June 2007.

Faith Christian, which owns a 12,000-square-foot church on 25 acres at 5215 Lorraine Road in Manatee County, has been around for 17 years. But according to its website , it?was forced?to shut down because it was unable to keep up with its debt load.

Its church will be sold at public auction by the Manatee County Clerk of Court on June 12.

?It is with heavy hearts that we come to this place but it is also with the knowledge that while we close this chapter and this property the CHURCH will never close!? the website says.
